    The IT Application Delivery Manager is responsible for managing application development and delivery of systems which support T. Marzetti’s business functions across all lines of business. This position manages the application portfolio with specific responsibility for developing or configuring, maintaining, enhancing, monitoring and eventually decommissioning applications through their life cycle. This position will work as a liaison to the business units to ensure alignment of business objectives and communications with IT resources.  This position will also manage the application release schedule with internal teams and third party providers while maintaining a prioritized order of delivery for the releases.  This position will have several direct reports and will require the management and career planning for these resource.  This role will oversee the development, implementation, and execution of project plans, ensure scope and schedule are established for projects and assignments, and oversee the operating plan and resource allocation for the group, including prioritization and staff deployment.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

     

    • This is a position of influence, negotiation and expectation management:
    • Is responsible for owning and maintaining the application portfolio for the company.
    • Coordinate between business leaders, IT leaders and PMO to socialize and advocate for the application releases according to the IT roadmap.
    • Provide project and test management leadership and staffing requirements for project delivery.
    • Responsible for developing or configuring, maintaining, enhancing, monitoring and eventually decommissioning applications through their life cycle.
    • Provide IT liaison and relationship management between IT and the Business Functions
    • Aid in managing the relationships between information systems components (i.e., end users, business processes, applications, data, IT platform hardware/software and networks).
    • Provide technical and administrative leadership to the application teams
    • Work with all IT teams to deploy business solutions that support full utilization of all third party integrated systems based on multiple technology platforms.
    • Ensure IT application design and integration documentation is maintained and improved over time.
    • Liaison to third party Software and Applications providers for understanding of the providers Application Roadmap and Release schedules in order to coordinate internal acceptance plans for releases.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Lead a team of technical resources.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or in Computer Science, Business or related field of study highly desired.
    • Five+ years in strategic IT roles including business analyst, systems analyst or application lead developer.
    • Experience implementing/developing within designated ERP is optimal.
    • Experience leading people a plus

    Knowledge/Skills

    • Strong analytical, project management and interpersonal/communication skills required.
    • Demonstrated expertise in coaching, mentoring and career development planning.
    • Expert understanding toolsets utilizing Cloud based Application Platforms.
    • Expert understanding of the database structure within the ERP system and relational databases.
    • Business Intelligence skills working a data warehouse or as a data architect a plus.
    • Integration platform knowledge for moving data between systems and applications including the utilization of middleware, web services and APIs provided by cloud solution providers.
    • Ability to lead team discussions, solicit input and facilitate decisions in a professional manner.
    • Ability to multi-task and organize effectively to meet users' expectations while working as part of a larger team.
    • Great organization and time management skills with the desire to complete projects on time.
    • Possess the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to bring innovative ideas forward for review (AI, ML, AR, IoT, Etc.)

    Working Conditions/Environment

    Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet. Some travel to plant and company locations is required. Overtime or irregular hours are required to meet extreme workloads and regularly-imposed deadlines.  There are frequent interruptions to handle special requests and emergencies. Individual is on call at times.
