  • Overview

    The QA Technician is responsible for monitoring the parameters required to produce a safe and quality product. They set the example for adherence to the GMP program and monitor adherence to our Food Safety Plan. Technicians interface with production supervisors and the Technical Manager.


    • Audit production parameters to ensure a safe, quality product is being produced.
    • Conducts many different types of product evaluations including moisture analysis, organoleptic properties, seasoning rate verification, weight, oxygen levels, and package integrity.
    • Monitors sanitation program for effectiveness and conduct pre-start inspections.
    • Monitor Critical Control Points and implement corrective actions.
    • Place suspect material on Hold and monitor rework process.
    • Monitor GMP compliance in all production areas
    • Receive and evaluate raw materials.
    • Initiate shelf life studies
    • Monitor product label for regulatory compliance


    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Minimum basic computer skills.
    • Schedule is 6 days and may require work on Sundays.
    • Uniforms and slip-resistant shoes are required and will be provided. They must be worn at all times.
    • Must comply with all safety programs.
    • Must comply with all food safety and GMP requirements.


    • Associates Degree in a related field
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a QA Technician, preferable in a food setting.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Minimum basic computer skills.

    Working Conditions/Environment

    The noise level in the plant is loud.  Hearing protection, hairnet, beardnet (if facial hair exists), and slip-resistant shoes are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
