The Food Scientist is responsible for understanding product development and designing products and processes to insure the ability to make products right the first time based upon implementation in plants and launch follow up. This position involves interaction with cross functional teams as well as external suppliers and customers. This role consists of daily bench and analytical work in a lab along with work in manufacturing facilities. The candidate must be able to represent The T.Marzetti Company within the company at meetings and other interactions and in front of suppliers and customers.
B.S. in Food Science
0-5 years of experience in food product development

Works in a normal office, development lab, and plant environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet, while in a plant it is loud. Occasional travel to plants or meetings is required.
