  • Overview


    The candidate for Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Administrator will provide SCCM administration services for the support of a multi-site hierarchy in Active Directory forests and domains on T. Marzetti Company’s network. The SCCM Administrator will provide the following tasks that include, but are not limited to, the roles and responsibilities listed below:



    • Create, implement, and deploy images for enterprise workstations and servers utilizing technologies such as Business Desktop Deployment (BDD)/Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)/Windows Deployment Services (WDS)/ Windows Pre-installation Environment (WinPE) /Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK)/ and Pre-Boot Execution Environment (PXE).
    • Develop and document processes to deploy Zero Touch Installation (ZTI) images for an Enterprise environment utilizing SCCM Operating System Deployment (OSD) as required.
    • Maintain and update current OSD images and documentation on a 4-12 week cycle utilizing approved change processes.
    • Create custom OSD Task Sequences utilizing Microsoft scripting technologies and components such as PowerShell and VBScript, Plan layout and installation of new or existing servers and desktops.
    • Perform patch management, software/OS updates and application packaging and distribution, remediation of identified IT system security related issues, threat mitigation and reporting, trend analysis of captured data, SCCM management of: patches for software certifications, data collection and reporting for servers and PCs.
    • Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution, to include but not limited to, issues with advanced Microsoft Windows issues, site-to-site communication, package distribution, SCCM advanced client and operating system deployment (OSD).
    • Create complex and dynamic collections, advertisements, queries, reports, other technical documents as required and manage local and remote site boundaries, site systems, site roles, inter-site dependencies and communication.
    • Create architectural diagrams, project plans and presentations.
    • Assess existing infrastructure to provide recommendations, and research and integrate new technologies that shall improve the overall quality of service while reducing total cost of ownership.
    • Develop implementation strategies and deployment schedules.
    • Validate deployment plans for compliance with existing performance limitations of the server's software.
    • Create FAQ's and provide Knowledge Base documentation and articles applicable to the network enterprise environment.
    • Provide engineering details in a modifiable Visio format as requested.
    • Document enterprise configuration management and preventative maintenance as required.
    • Plans, designs, implements, troubleshoots, repairs, and provides recommendations for Enterprise server and desktop improvements based on business requirements and new technologies.
    • Work with vendor support to resolve technical problems with desktops and servers.
    • Document issue details and resolution using designated ticketing system.
    • Maintain and report on inventory of all hardware and software resources within the enterprise.


    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent experience
    • 3 years of supporting a medium to large enterprise environment
    • 5  years of experience with SCCM
    • 3 years of experience supporting desktop computers in a corporate environment3 years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining a desktop environment
    • 3 years of experience managing AD functions
    • 5 years of experience building and imaging desktops
    • MCP, MSCE
    • Strong Fluency of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong understanding of OS system settings, management settings and navigation
    • Quickly learns and achieves proficiency in new software applications as needed
    • Strong understanding of SCCM, MDT and Windows 7/10 Servicing
    • Strong understanding of Active Directory Management and Windows Group Policy
    • Strong understanding of patch management solutions (WSUS)
    • Strong understanding of Networking, DNS, Infrastructure concepts
    • Strong scripting experience using PowerShell, VBS, etc.
    • Good understanding of Enterprise software licenses agreements and deployment considerations
    • Good understanding of virtualization technologies

    Working Conditions/Environment

    Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility.  The noise level in the office is quiet.  May work on an on-call basis on rotating weekends.   May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
