    Marzetti Company is looking for someone to reconcile daily production reporting for the plant, enter and maintains inventory accuracy (data and materials), ensure control of shelf life of materials (FIFO), provide and maintains daily reports for management, reconcile bulk blends and outside warehouse (JENOR), maintain the warehouse geographical material locations, maintain production models in PRISM (bill of materials), assist end of month closing – reporting, and serve as a backup of the plant operations accountant.


    • Identify MITSGUS (production errors generated from the previous day)
    • Reconcile pallet sheets vs. Schedule Status/Production report and identify errors.
    • Correct errors found on every shift within our system
    • Complete resource adjustments transactions to correct MITSGUPR
    • Reconcile tank location usage, and zero out tanks inventory balances
    • Enter run time/downtime and submit reports (email)
    • Investigate the root cause of Negative inventories as possible and Clear them out from system
    • Record shrinkage or scrap (line losses)
    • Submit Stock Status Report and forward accordingly; save copy in Stock Status file
    • Complete and Close previous day schedule
    • Run reservations for current production schedule
    • Identify resources that do not allocate consumption of materials when making reservation of materials
    • Force reservation quantities as needed or identify status of resources with zero balance
    • Daily Production Reports: West fill control data, daily line efficiency production report, MTM line efficiency production report, daily production efficiency pivot table report (downtime & line efficiency report for plant manager), overall equipment efficiency OEE, cycle count statistical inventory, ship shortage report.
    • Reconcile Daily Bulk Blend: identify bulk blends daily inventories balance (cycle counts), identify blends that remain On Hand, identify and enter resource adjustments transactions for bulk blends that are showing quantity but no longer remain on hand.
    • Responsible for cycle count data entry and adjustment to materials
    • Maintains the daily Shipment Shortage Report, printing daily shipment/shortage report and maintain daily the ship shortages database.
    • Reconcile the daily drums, identify actual daily drum inventory balances vs. perpetual.
    • Submit weekly FIFO reports and identify expired materials
    • Monitor our Warehouse Materials
    • Perform monthly outside warehouse audits and reconciliations (JENOR and SSA)
    • Data entry for Production Model Maintenance
    • Assist with month end closing
    • Backup to the Controller in performing month end close activities and financial snap shots, as well as accounts Payables
    • Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support our Marzetti Operational Excellence programs; assures conformity to all company, customer, and government standards (GAAP and SOX Compliance)
    • Performs other duties / responsibilities as assigned by management.


    • Needs extensive experience in Windows 7, Microsoft Office (2010 preferred) applications – Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access preferred. Experience in other Company applications like Mocha W32 TN5250 (PRISM)
    • Has demonstrated success as Inventory Specialist – minimum 5 years office experience necessary – proven record of demonstrated office skills
    • Experience in dealing with confidential information /office setting. Experience in dealing professionally with external and internal customers in person.
    • Good phone and electronic communication
    • Detail oriented under a fast pace environment.
    • Understanding of production processes (yield- waste- scrap- efficiency- Overall Effective Equipment – capacity – 5S - Inventory ranking)
    • AA or BA preferred in Business, Accounting or other applicable field of study
    • 5 years of experience in lieu of degree

    Working Conditions/Environment

    Works primarily in an office environment, with a 50% or less time in the warehouse environment, where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp, and bend while moving about the facility. Time to time it may require some lifting of moderate heavy items such as Banker file boxes. May require working overtime and /or weekends as needed. The employee is periodically exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, soil, slippery floors, moving parts, and equipment. The noise level in the office is moderate and loud in the plant. Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes and sometimes gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
