  • Overview

    The Manager, 3PL Warehouse Operations is responsible for providing leadership and developing strategie to provide best in class storage and distribution of goods. The position will be instrumental in improving logistics capabilities through strategic planning and leveraging best practices for the organization’s 3PL distribution network. The position will interface with all levels of the organization to meet organizational goals and customer service requirements.  Along w/ the Director, the position will share in accountability for partnership strategies, contract negotiation and performance to the the distribution budgets/ financial performance. 


    • Directs distribution activities to effectively manage 3PL warehouse relationship, quality, performance, service, asset stewardship and cost for external warehouses.
    • Responsible for productivity and cost target achievement for external warehouse operations.
    • Develop a strong portfolio & relationships with 3PL logistics providers in North America.  
    • Responsible for all food safety requirements regarding storage and handling within the 3PL distribution network.
    • Responsible for external warehouse performance on service goals and requirements.
    • Support operational excellence programs to drive a culture that focuses on continuous improvement through innovation, technology, and process control.
    • Optimize distribution efficiency through execution with key vendors, customers, and internal business units.



    • Bachelor Degree preferred in Logistics, Procurement and or Supply Chain
    • Extensive experience in Warehouse/Distribution/Supply Chain Management
    • 7-10 years’ leadership experience managing distribution operations or supply chain networks, with oversight of a facility (or facilities) which support the replenishment, logistics and warehouse functions

    • Successfully managed a Distribution Center(s) through a transition from one 3pl to another (Not required but preferred)

    • Experience managing budgets and operational KPIs

    • Experience with WMS and/or TMS. This person will need experience or understanding with significant change management process and can support the business and warehouse workforce through this implementation.

    • Experience in Process/Financial Audit, Management and Financial Accounting preferred but not required

    • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong decision making, analytical and problem solving skills
    • Procurement & contract negotiation 

    Working Conditions/Environment

    Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet. Travel to 3PL fulfillment centers, plant and company locations is required. Overtime or irregular hours are required to meet extreme workloads and regularly-imposed deadlines.
