  • Overview

    Prepares dough, follows product recipe specifications and ensures accuracy for ingredients required. Also responsible for reporting any dough issues to the production supervisor and keeps the mixing area clean. Will restock hand ad ingredients as needed and fills mixer sheet correctly.

    Responsibilities

      • Observe company’s safety requirements all the time
      • Startup shift - Get hand ads utensils needed, mixer sheets
      • Shutdown shift - Assists Sanitation Department on shutdown to move dough pumps, dough extruder to the wash room.
      • Accurately record batch IDs
      • Record lot codes on mixer sheets
      • Tell supervisor if batches are not scheduled.
        • Verifies mixer sheet and recipe from AIM match and immediately report any discrepancies to supervisor
        • Adds ingredients to mixes as needed per the recipe.
    • Mixes doughs accurately and completely.
      • Completes all mixer sheets.
      • Put all liquid hand ads in appropriately tagged buckets.
      • Notify shipping to supply pallets of ingredients needed throughout the day.
      • Communicates with next shift mixer
      • Keeps work area clean
      • Keeps area under mixer bowls clean at all times.
      • Keeps all ingredients off the floor.
      • Keeps table and liquid ingredients areas clean.
      • Other duties as assigned by supervision/management.

      • Willingness to be flexible to work weekends as needed in production or sanitation

    Qualifications

      • Wear appropriate and required Personal Protective Equipment.
        • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
        • Six months of experience working in Flatout production.
        • Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
    •  

    Competencies

    • Consistently must administer good hand eye coordination.
    • Knowledge of the Visual Standards of Quality for all products produced.
    • Dexterity, ability to work with both hands at the same time.
    • Knowledge and understanding of weights and measures.
    • Good mechanical aptitude.
    • Good problem solving skills.

     

    • Computer literate to operate mixer system.
    • Ability to read time.
    • Ability to read a thermometer
