The Information Security Engineer should have a passion for systems and security work, and possesses deep and wide expertise in the security space. This position will focus on protecting system boundaries, keeping systems and infrastructure hardened against attacks and securing highly sensitive data, along with securing user and computer identity. They develop and maintain protocols for the safe use, entry, transmission, and retrieval of data and software assets at a company. They work to ensure that these security protocols are flexible enough to remain user-friendly for employees, while also ensuring that security is strong enough to meet the needs of the business.
Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet. Some travel to plant and company locations is required. Overtime or irregular hours are required to meet extreme workloads and regularly-imposed deadlines.
