Directs the maintenance activities on a designated shift in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the desired quality, quantity and timely maintenance of all production machinery/equipment, physical plant, utilities and grounds in accordance with federal, state and local regulations, directs & supervises Maintenance Technicians and ensures compliance with company policies.
Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, lift and bend while moving about the facility. The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the plant is loud. Earplugs, safety glasses, hairnets, beardnets (if facial hair exists), and steel-toed / slip-resistant shoes are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
Directly supervises 2-15 employees in the maintenance area. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and results of the maintenance area during a designated shift. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling and appraising employees; planning, assigning and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints/grievances and resolving problems.
