Directs and manages all warehousing operations, including receiving, storage and distribution of all items received from suppliers or producers to ensure raw materials and/or other supplies are stored, located and distributed to the proper departments in a safe, efficient and timely manner. Assures quality and safety while achieving established goals and objectives. Monitors the shipment of finished product and goods.
Directly supervises a warehouse supervisor and multiple employees in the warehouse area. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and results of the warehouse area. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, appraising and terminating employees; planning, assigning and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints/grievances and resolving problems.
Works primarily in an office environment, with 25% or less time in a manufacturing environment, where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Requires some lifting of moderately heavy items such as file boxes. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. The employee may periodically be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment. The noise level in the office is moderate and loud in the plant. Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
