Supports quality assurance initiatives and drives quality and sanitation compliance on the plant floor by following the Angelic Bakehouse standard operating procedures and pre-requisite programs. This position will require computer and technical skills.

This person shall report any non conformance of finished product to the QA Supervisor or Manager.


While Production is underway:

The Quality Analyst is responsible for supporting quality assurance, research and development and food safety initiatives on the plant floor and continuously monitors quality control points. Under the direction of the Quality Assurance & Sanitation Manager, the Quality Analyst works with members of production to resolve quality related issues on the plant floor and helps drive corrective action for any non-conformances related to the food safety management system. The Quality Analyst also assists Production and Packaging Supervisors with training needs and procedural support.

Additional duties:

The Quality Analyst is responsible for the for supporting Quality Assurance, Sanitation, and food safety initiatives (Lead Food Safety Inspections, write quality and/or food safety related reports, Standard Operating Procedures, and maintain quality and/or food safety related records).


  • Environmental sampling and other miscellaneous sampling tasks
  • Calibration and verification of monitoring methods
  • Post-sanitation inspections and ATP verification of sanitation effectiveness
  • Auditing of plant quality control points and ensuring plant adherence to laid down procedures and specifications
  • Suggest changes to ensure that the work procedures and equipment fall in line with requirements and specifications
  • R&D project assistance
  • Data collection on special projects, Quality and R&D initiatives
  • Sanitation support for miscellaneous tasks
  • Random auditing of order packing
  • Hold and release of product and raw materials
  • Auditing of hand wash areas as well as keeps sinks clean and supplies full when available
  • Responsible for reporting quality and food safety issues or concerns to Management.
  • Lead Food Safety Inspections
  • Write quality and/or food safety related reports
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain Quality and/or food safety related records
  • Support Quality Assurance & Sanitation Manager


  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or a minimum of 3 years Quality Assurance experience in the food industry.
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Proficient in Excel


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • General knowledge of chemical properties and attributes.
  • Technical understanding of food safety, environmental testing methods and theory.

Working Conditions/Environment

Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, lift, reach, and bend while moving about the facility. Must be able to stand up for an 8 hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks. Hairnets and slip resistant shoes are required per company and plant GMP and Safety requirements.
