This role is a key contributor to the company’s strategic vision to becoming The Better Food Company by delivering on our innovation agenda.  Responsibilities include providing day-to-day innovation support in developing new products, from conceptualization to commercialization.


  • Contributes to identifying white space opportunities to deliver compelling new product solutions consistent with enterprise/brand strategies
  • Support concept development process for assigned new items, including target consumer, insights, benefit, reason to believe, and price point
  • Work in conjunction with Brand Manager and Project Manager to comply with all aspects of stage gate processes, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and stakeholder alignment to all deliverables
  • Champions innovation efforts by collaborating effectively with Brand Management, Finance, Strategy, Sales, Sales Strategy & Insights, Insights, R&D, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Leverage internal and external resources to identify relevant trends/insights to support new item development plans
  • Partner with Brand team to ensure all new items in development fits with each brands’ purpose and priorities
  • Partner with Insights team to maximize the success of assigned initiatives or identify new initiatives
  • Partner with Finance team to assess financial viability of assigned initiatives
  • Partner with external vendors on innovation strategy, research, and packaging design
  • Day-to-day management of Innovation budget and vendor invoices
  • Navigate and understand internal versus external capabilities to ensure as part of assessing viability of each project



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required
  • 1-2 years of relevant marketing or innovation experience
  • Experience in Food Industry is preferred
  • Displays strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form 
  • Previous exposure to profit/P&L management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions/Environment

Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility.  The noise level in the office is quiet.  May require occasional day travel or overnight travel.
