Overview

MILPITAS, CALIFORNIA

Properly stores, transfers, ships and receives raw materials, packaging goods and finished products in a safe and orderly fashion. Maintains the quality of perishable items and inventories all warehoused goods. Supplies processing and packaging rooms with proper supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operates and maintains power lifting equipment, inspects same for safety.
  • Performs daily inspection and preventative maintenance of power equipment.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, GMP’s and SOP’s.
  • Responsible for overall cleanliness & organization of Warehouse.
  • Ensures all lift truck batteries are charged, clean, & filled properly daily.
  • Assists Warehousers as needed.
  • Ensures compliance to quality, food safety and HAACP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
  • Works in a safe, accident-free manner.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be able to successfully attain powered industrial truck operating certification.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively – verbally & in writing – to other employees and Management.
  • Experience in operating hi-lo, fork truck, power jack and shrink wrap equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, computer use knowledge, and good math skills are required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Competencies

  1. Ability to work any hours as required. This may include early start-up, overtime, weekend work and other shifts.
  2. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  3. Works in a safe, accident-free manner.
  4. Must be self-motivated and have good oral/written communication with others.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
  6. Effectively communicates verbally and written with Team Members and Management
  7. Works respectfully with all team members to ensure the Safety, Quality, production and support of our products and goals on a daily basis.

Working Conditions/Environment

  • Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, reach, lift, grasp, climb and bend while working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
  • May be required to work extended hours and/or weekend shifts.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment and non-toxic industrial waste and scrap. 
  • The noise level in the plant is loud.  Earplugs, safety glasses and hairnets, beardnets (if facial hair exists) and steel-toed / slip-resistant shoes are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
