Coordinates and participates in shift sanitation activities in production by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES: Applies the food safety and quality principles as described in the Marzetti Corporate Food Safety and Quality Manual and internal Marzetti Frozen Pasta policies, training and procedures in all applicable aspects of departmental and job functions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum six months experience in production and an ability to demonstrate a high level of knowledge of GMPs, sanitation and food handling standards in our production plant. Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate safe work practices in our plant.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat and occasionally exposed to extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. In certain areas, hearing protection is required.
WORK HOURS: The work hours of this position require flexibility in order to meet production requirements. Some mandatory overtime may be required and voluntary overtime may be available.
