Receives, ships, transfers and stores raw materials, packaging materials and finished products in a safe and organized manner for an assigned shift.  Maintains the quality of perishable items and inventories all warehoused goods.  Supplies packaging and processing areas with supplies as needed to ensure continuous production.


  • Ensures receipt of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products.
  • Orders and maintains proper levels of cleaning supplies.
  • Unloads inbound materials and inspects containers for damage.
  • Inspects, operates and maintains power lifting equipment.
  • Rotates raw and packaging materials upon receipt and when returning to storage after use.
  • Ensures all raw materials containers are properly labeled.
  • Identifies products to be shipped, verifies label and codes, loads appropriate amount onto trucks to be shipped.
  • Ensures personnel seals trucks for shipment after product is loaded and final verification process is completed.
  • Counts inventory levels of corrugated, raw materials, and film on a twice weekly basis.
  • Manages outside trailers, ensuring proper quantities and proper placement.
  • Coordinates flow of inbound and outbound trucks.
  • Keeps track of all LTL shipments to ensure they are all delivered on time.
  • Coordinates with other shift on all loads and schedule.
  • Assigns tasks where necessary on a daily basis.
  • Ensures completion of all scheduled loads.
  • Fills in for Supervisor Assistant/Clerk when necessary.
  • Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
    • Participates in activities related to Marzetti Operational Excellence


  • Must be able to successfully obtain industrial truck and lift operating certification.
  • 1-2 years experience in operating hi-lo, fork truck, power jack and shrink wrap equipment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.


  • Must be able to communicate effectively with other employees and management.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, computer knowledge/skills and good math skills are required.

Working Conditions/Environment

Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility.   Must be able to move 50 pounds a distance of 25 feet or more at various frequencies and or intervals.  Must be able to stand for an 8 – 10 hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive tasks.  May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.  The employee may be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment.  The noise level is loud in the plant.  Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
