Position Summary:
The person in this position reconciles daily production reporting for the plant, enters and maintains inventory accuracy (data and materials), ensures control of shelf life of materials (FIFO), provides and maintains daily reports for management, reconciles bulk blends and outside warehouse (JENOR), maintains the warehouse geographical material locations, maintains production models in PRISM (bill of materials), assist end of month closing – reporting, serves as a backup of the plant operations accountant.

Perform inspection and a variety of packing duties required for all products produced at New York Frozen Foods. This includes but is not limited to, slotting of bread, indexing of bread (bagged or not), stacking of bread slices, packing finished product in cases, stacking of finished cases on pallets, feeding of bread slices; check weighing of finished cases, area cleanup as required by the supervisor and in keeping with the NYFF Employee Area Acceptance Program. Receives verbal and/or written instructions from Supervisor.

Complete oversight of various processes, controls/procedures and entries relating to Inventory, Fixed Assets, leases and other areas as needed to ensure strong internal controls and accurate financial reporting.

The IT Enterprise Architect will coordinate the application selection, development and integration for Marzetti. This position will support internal and external teams to develop IT Application and Integration strategies, understand requirements, architecting, designing and developing integrations, solutions and deployments. The candidate will participate in the ERP initiative, Integration and Business Analytics as well as other IT tool selection processes. They will play a key role on teams to support Marzetti wide IT Application strategy and support.

Programs, sets-up, troubleshoots and maintains all packaging equipment. Directs quick and efficient changeovers both on machines and new product changes. Direct packers on how to pack the product in the most efficient manner.

Packs finished product into cases, stacks filled cases on pallets for shipping, and performs other duties as needed to ensure continuous operation of a product filling/packaging line.

Performs all duties and responsibilities to include assists with basic mechanical and electrical duties, as required to maintain the Plant’s physical structure, grounds, machinery and equipment.

Directs the overall housekeeping and sanitation of food contact areas and manufacturing equipment to ensure compliance to required standards for cleanliness. Directs the product manufacturing and packaging activities in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the desired quality, quantity and timely packaging of product. Assures quality and safety while achieving established goals and objectives.

Directs, supervises and evaluates the sales efforts of food brokers in an assigned region to achieve assigned sales objectives. Develops sales plans and strategies with each broker and ensures compliance to all required company policies and procedures.

Controls Engineer to work with minimal supervision, responsible for the continuous improvement of plant processes and equipment including design, PLC program changes, equipment upgrades, electrical documentation, uptime improvements, and maintenance expense reduction.

Directs and manages all Human Resources functions at the plant level, including employee relations, staffing, orientation, benefits administration, payroll, training, and compliance to federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. The position supports two plants in the Alabama, located in the Luverne and Mobile markets.

This role is a key contributor to the company’s strategic vision to becoming The Better Food Company by delivering on our innovation agenda. Responsibilities include identifying and developing new products and end-to-end project management throughout the project(s) life cycle, from conceptualization to commercialization.
